The Panton Chair has always been a favorite of children. They not only like its bright, cheerful colors and smooth curves, but the fact that it is as much fun to play with as it is to sit on. Soon after its introduction, Verner Panton began to consider the idea of producing a child-size version of the chair together with Vitra.
What was financially unfeasible over 35 years ago is now possible: Vitra introduces the Panton Junior, whose production is based on the original plans of Verner Panton. Identical to the regular model with regard to material and shape, the Panton Junior is approximately 25 percent smaller and available in six different colors. This makes it an ideal chair for children in pre-school and primary grades.

Verner Panton
Verner Panton was an inspirational and colorful personality. A unique person with a special sense of colours, shapes, light function and room.
Over the course of his career Verner Panton (1926-1998) introduced a series of modern lamps with personalities unlike any of his Scandinavian contemporaries.
With a remarkable faith in the unlimited possibilities of the form, he worked successfully to create a new set of theories about how lighting should work and how it should influence its surroundings.
Verner Panton in his own words:
"The main purpose of my work is to provoke people into using their imagination. Most people spend their lives living in dreary, grey-beige conformity, mortally afraid of usning colors. By experimenting with lighting, colors, textiles and furniture and utilizing the latest technologies, I try to show new ways, to encourage people to use their fantasy imagination and make their surroundings more exciting".
Building its business since 1950, Vitra has developed a wide range of furnishings for the office, home and public spaces in collaboration with progressive designers. The Panton Junior Chair. Designed by Verner Panton in 1959.

This is a nice little chair for kids. I purchased it to photograph kids on for my photography business. It's pretty sturdy, and holds up well outside. The orange color is bright and cheerful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Adorable! Cutest little designer chair I have ever seen.
I bought the light blue. It is more of an aqua than a light blue however.

Modern looking, sleek stable chair. Looks great!
I bought this chair for my 2 year old daughter, who loves to climb on stuff. Despite its looks it is exceptionally stable and hard to tip over and it looks great as well!
